A modern nutrition and food training center, including free a Hanoi cooking class called Ajinomoto Cooking Studio, was officially established on May 25, 2017. Talking to the press on the day of opening the center, former deputy director of the National Institute of Nutrition, Mrs. Le Bach Mai guided that the Vietnamese meals are do salty, less vegetables and in many regions (especially in the city market), there are too much fat food.

Ms. Mai said that each person should only eat 80-100 gr of vegetables a day and keep the balance between white meat (poultry meat) and red meat (pork, beef …). They also need to increase the diet of fish, seafood and other type of beans, green vegetables…

“Vietnamese people eat a lot of red meat and pork in the meal while vegetables and fish are a bit less eaten. It is important to balance the types of foods as well as the balance of meat”- Ms. Mai instructed.

At Ajinomoto Cooking Studio, in addition to cooking and food processing facilities, the center has invested in a state-of-the-art camera and screen system so that learners can learn how to cook food in a “close-up” way.
